Rooted in Service

Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune founded Bethune-Cookman University on the belief that education should reach everyone — including those who serve. In 1941, Dr. Bethune stood before the War Department to demand that Black women and their organizations be included in planning for military welfare. Her advocacy set a precedent that B-CU Global carries forward today — ensuring that those who serve our country have access to the education they have earned.
